Spring 2026 Print

President's Report

Crossing my fingers and toes that most of us have seen the last of this season’s snow even as I see the forecast for northern New England for a little more “plowable snow”. If anyone knows a good deal on a snowblower for next year, please let me know!

In preparation for our joint roundtable discussion with NEA (see below) we have collaborated on a resource list which is now available on our website (armane.org) which is meant to help all of us identify key organizations, LinkedIn groups, and sample, public retention schedules we can all make use of and/or forward along to those interested in learning more about our industry. Please take a look and let us know if you have any suggestions as this is meant to be a long-term resource that will evolve over time.

Recent past programs

Proud of our team’s success on 3 recent programs.

February’s discussion with Ciera Parks on DEI – focusing on Equity in the workplace. Thank you, Stephanie McKinney, for all your hard work in making this come together. Please see our website for a great recap.

March 19, we had Mike DeVanna, former, and always at-heart, Bostonian, talk about his experiences developing RIM/IG programs in financial services and other regulated industries.

March 20 Nicole Maxim, Ruth Edele, John Attanasio and I participated in a RIM roundtable discussion at the New England Archivists’ annual conference in Portland, ME. We also sponsored a table and had many discussions with archivists who are interested in learning more about RIM and IG. We plan to use this as a starting point to more collaborative programming with NEA.

Note that we are separately sending out a call for board member volunteers/nominations. If you are interested in or know someone who would like to help shape the chapter through programming, networking, and/or other educational activities, please look for that email and let us know of your interest.
